A Quechee man has plead guilty to a charge stemming from him choking his ex-girlfriend this past December, reports the Valley News.
26-year-old Matthew Nilsson has been charged with one count of aggravated domestic assault. On December 29, 2019, Nilsson choked his ex and left her unconscious on a trail alongside the White River in Sharon, Vermont. The victim, Emily Seaver, survived the attack.
Nilsson faces anywhere from 18 months to 12 years in prison, although it is anticipated that he will serve a one year sentence, followed by six months under house arrest.
