An update has occurred in the Weathersfield, VT crash that took the life of 22-year-old Norwich, VT resident Keanan Thompson.
Patricia Whitcomb, 65, of Charlestown, NH went to the Westminster State Police Barracks and told officers that she believed that she may have hit Thompson. Upon investigation her gray 2004 Honda Civic, it was decided this was the vehicle involved.
The matter remains under investigation, and troopers are speaking to members of the Windsor County’s State Attorney’s Office to determine whether charges will be pressed pertaining to the incident.
Thompson was an ROTC student at Norwich University, and a member of the Vermont National Guard. He is remembered by fellow cadet Braiden Cairo as “someone who wants to see those around him succeed,” and being a strong force in his community.
