Drug Take Back Day Results

The 18th National Prescription Drug Take Back has been deemed a success.

Over the course of four hours on October 26, the New England Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration collected over 46 tons (92,875 pounds) of expired, unused, unwanted prescription drugs, electronic vaping devices and cartridges across New England. In NH, 12, 266 pounds were brought in while 6,734 were returned in VT.

“Thanks to the public 46 tons of unwanted, expired, unused, unwanted prescription drugs, electronic vaping devices and cartridges have now been taken out of harm’s way across New England,” said DEA Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Boyle.
