Springfield Medical Care Systems to File for Bankruptcy

According to the Associated Press, Springfield Medical Care Systems could soon be filing for bankruptcy.

Paperwork states the company would be filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2020. The organization includes Springfield Hospital and outpatient clinics in Bellows Falls, Chester, Londonberry, Ludlow and Charlestown, NH. The clinics are expected to file financial plans by the end of January, while the hospital hopes to have one in April.

All plans are subject to judge’s approval.
