A man has been arrested for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child by the Royalton Vermont State Police, they report.
In November of 2019, the Royalton Police were informed of an incident where a juvenile had allegedly been sexually abused by a family member. A month’s long investigation by the Windsor County Special Investigations Unit led to the January 2, 2020 arrest of 27-year-old Edwin Read Jr.. Read Jr. was arrested at the Northern State Correctional Facility in Newport, VT where he is being held for multiple charges including a Sex Offender registry violation.
He is set to appear in Orleans County Superior Court on January 6 to answer the charge.
