Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Manchester’s Catholic Medical Center have asked the attorney general for permission to merge, reports the Associated Press.
According to the filing, the joint organization would be known as Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical GraniteOne. This merger would expand specialty care like oncology and orthopedics.
While the two currently perform clinical collaborations, but a financial and operational merge would help reduce costs related to expansion.
