New State Attorney Appointed in Windsor County

A Woodstock, Vermont resident has been named the new Windsor County State Attorney, reports Mountain Times.

Ward Goodenough was sworn into the position on February 3, following David Cahill’s January resignation.

Goodenough’s experience includes serving as a deputy state attorney in the Rutland and Windsor counties since 2015, as well as being a Woodstock Village trustee. Goodenough handled an annual caseload averaging 300. He has experience dealing with cases ranging from disorderly conduct, to domestic violence, to kidnapping.

Goodenough got the job by being a nominee presented to VT Governor Phil Scott.
