A bill that would allow guns to be confiscated from those that pose a threat to themselves or others is heading to New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu’s desk, reports WMUR.
19 states and Washington D.C. have already adopted similar bills, commonly known as “red-flag” laws. The state Senate voted 14-10 in favor of the legislation, on party line. The bill is largely being supported by Senate Democrats.
Sununu has stated that he does not support changes to any of NH’s gun laws, and is expected to veto the bill.
