The 2020 Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl has been cancelled, reports WMUR.
The football game, which pits high school seniors from New Hampshire and Vermont against one another, has been axed due to concerns over the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Over the game’s 66 years, it has raised millions of dollars for Shriners Hospital for Children.
Organizers reportedly called the decision to cancel the game’s 67th edition “heartbreaking”.
