Decades Old Physical and Sexual Abuse Allegations Being Investigated in VT

An investigation is being launched into decades old child abuse allegations at Kurn Hattin Homes for Children, reports WCAX.

Stephen Harrison, the Executive Director of the Westminster, Vermont facility, claims that he was unaware of the allegations until being contacted by the Brattleboro Reformer. He says that, regardless if the allegations are 30 to 60 years old, they are “both horrific and heartbreaking.” Harrison says that an independent investigation will be used to uncover the truth.

Men and women who are claiming to have been physically and sexually abused at Kurn Hattin are being represented by a law firm that represented abuse survivors in their cases against Larry Nassar, a former US Gymnastics national team trainer.
