
The state of Vermont announced a new single-day record of COVID-19 cases on Thursday, according to the VT Department of Health.
According to the new data from VT health officials, today’s case count was 178 new COVID-19 cases. This brings the state’s total number of cases since the pandemic’s onset to 4,639. Prior to today, the previous high for case count was 152 new cases on November 18th.
One new virus-related death was announced as well, bringing VT’s total to 75.
At this time, there are 29 VT citizens in hospital due to COVID-19, with three of these individuals residing in intensive care units.
