65 Hanover Terrace Residents Now Positive for COVID-19

The COVID-19 outbreak at Hanover Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hanover now affects approximately 90% of the long-term care facility’s residents.

According to a report from NBC 5, 65 residents at the center have tested positive for COVID-19, as of Tuesday. Only seven residents are still negative for the virus. According to Acting Administrator Martha Isley, “Most of our residents have had, I guess, more of a milder case, have not been seriously ill as a result of COVID, although we do have some residents who are ill.”

Isley states that 22 staff members and “two outside vendors” have also tested positive. At this time, the facility is not certain how the outbreak began.

To date, no residents have been hospitalized or have died due to COVID-19.
