Motor Vehicle Accident Leads to Arrest of Wanted Man

Troopers from the Vermont State Police-Royalton Barracks were able to apprehend a wanted man following a motor vehicle accident in Sharon.

According to a press release, on January 2nd, 2021, at approximately 11 AM, troopers were dispatched to a single-car accident on Fay Brook Road in Sharon. Upon arrival at the scene of the roll-over, it was discovered that the driver was 34-year-old David Durkee.

Durkee was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear and answer to the charge of: Vehicle Operated-License Suspended for DUI.

He was taken into custody for the warrant, and then transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility and held on $200 bail.
