
A Townshend, Vermont woman was arrested on multiple charges following a string of misdoings on New Years Day, reports the VT State Police-Westminster Barracks.
According to the press release, the Westminster Barracks received a complaint at approximately 8:11 PM on January 1st, 2021, regarding an alleged burglary at a home on Stephenson Curve in Townshend.
An investigation into the incident discovered that Sarah Peck, 36, had unlawfully entered the home of a family member, stole several valuables, and then operated the homeowner’s motor vehicle without permission. Peck was later located by authorities at her residence on Route 30 in Townshend. She was then taken into custody, and the stolen property was located.
Peck was processed and released with a criminal citation to appear in Windham County Court on February 23rd at 11 AM to answer to these charges; Burglary, Grand Larceny, Operating Without Owner’s Consent, and Possession of Stolen Property. .
