Tuition Freeze Possible at UVM

The University of Vermont has announced a tuition freeze for only the second time in the last 40 years, reports WCAX.

The college, who’s in-state tuition is near $17K and over $41K for out-of-staters will not be raising tuition this year. Every year for five years, UVM has raised prices by three percent. The school will be passing up a profit of $8 million if the freeze is voted through by the Board of Trustees.

Board member Governor Phil Scott states he would welcome the freeze. He stated that “he welcomes attempts to make education more affordable.”
